October, 2011 -- The Collierville Community Fund announced $9,728 in grants to seven local organizations. New Day Children's Theatre was chosen as the recipient of this year's Vicki Grimes award.

New Day Children's Theatre New Day Children's Theatre has been granted $2,500 to offer advanced age individuals participation in social and artistic theatrical performances. New Day Children's Theatre was chosen as the recipient of this year's Vicki Grimes award.
Leadership Collierville
Leadership Collierville has been granted $1,000 for an adult class trip to the state capital with Leadership Germantown to meet legislators and learn about the legislative process.
Collierville Literacy Council Collierville Literacy Council has been granted $1,728 to research the unique needs of foreign born students preparing for the GED test.
SPCA The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Memphis has been granted $1,500 to prepare Collierville's pet owners for disaster readiness, including rabies vaccinations and microchips for pets belonging to low income families. Collierville Arts Council Collierville Arts Council has been granted $3,000 to support collaboration with the Symphony in the Rose Garden, a performance by the Germantown Symphony Orchestra held in Collierville each May.
